CLUB ACTIVITIES

LEO YEAR 1999-2000

July 3, 1999. Went to Casa Esperanza to donate personal necessities and food to the battered home and conducted activities with the children.

July 10, 1999. Tree planting activity in Siaton and Marine Beach clean-up at Silliman beach.

July 17, 1999. Silliman Park clean-up.
Recruitment and orientation of new recruits at Ok Pensionne House.

July 24, 1999. Exam and interview of new recruits.

July 31, 1999. Donated school supplies to the DSWD for the public schools in the city.
Attended the induction of the Metro Dumaguete Lions Club.

August 7,1999. The Club had its induction of new members and officers for the Leo Year. Lion Geronimo Villegas, president of the Dumaguete City Host Lions Club, inducted the new sets of officers while Lion Allen Kwan Sr., president of the Metro Dumaguete Lions Club, inducted the new members. Lion Constantino Uy, our club advisor, was also present to grace the affair.

August 14-15,1999. Attended the 1st Cabinet Meeting and District Conference at SM and Waterfront Hotel, Cebu City, together with the Dumaguete City Host Lions Club and the Metro Dumaguete Lions Club.

August 28,1999. Went to Friendship Home Orphanage in Valencia to donate old clothing and food to the children and conduct parlor games.

September 4,1999. Went to DSWD to give food and conducted activities with 50 street children.

September 5,1999. Participated in the Alay Lakad '99 together with the Dumaguete City Host Lions Club. This is a city wide activity participated also by other organizations.

September 18,1999. Went to Casa Esperanza (every other month activity) to donate personal necessities.
Participated in the City wide coastal clean-up program.

September 25,1999. Conducted a cleanliness drive around the city.

October 2,1999. Went to DSWD and conducted different activities with the street children. The activities include: teaching action songs, story telling, parlor games, and snacks were also distributed to them.

October 16,1999. Went to Friendship Home Orphanage (Valencia) to give food and conducted activities with the children.

October 23-24,1999. The club had an IPR to foster a closer relationship and to solve and discuss various problems and solutions. This ended with a beach party the following day.

December 20,1999. The club had a Christmas party at Ok Pensionne.

February 14,2000. The club sold 200 baskets for valentines. Proceeds will go to the various projects of the club.

April 8-9,2000. The club attended the 4th district convention in Cebu Marriott Hotel, Cebu City.
