Thirty of the forty charter members of the Dumaguete City Leo Club (1970)

The 2^nd Oldest Leo Club in the Phlippines, the Leo Club of Dumaguete City was organized on March 28, 1970 under the sponsorship of the Dumaguete City Lions Club. It started its existence with 40 charter members composed mostly of students. It has accomplished quite a number of various community projects, and has sponsored several entertaining activities for the people of Dumaguete City and Negros Oriental. Its activities include inter-club conventions, workshops, assistance in the projects of the Lions clubs, sponsorships, and other programs have made possible for many students to serve the city whole-heartedley and joyfully. The first Leo president was Antonio Florendo, followed by Martin Dy, Jr., Riodel Montebon, Hubert Uy, Jonathan Cortes, Hubert Uy, Gaudencio Noble, Joel Tan, Gilbert Uy and so forth.

The Dumaguete Leo Club has served the city for 32 years and will continue to do so with gladness and willingness.
